Personal Health and Dental Insurance
Personal Health and Dental Care can augment the government health plan. You may be a retiree, a part-time employee, or a student. Plans benefit over-aged dependents, people in between jobs or those simply looking for additional insurance above the provincial coverage. Extended care plans supplement government programs to cover drugs, dental and other health related expenses.
The personal health and dental plans allow you to build your own benefit plan and tailor your coverage to suit you and your family's specific needs.
Plan's may include options for covering items like vision care, registered therapists and health practitioners, hospital accommodation, ambulance; dental, and prescriptions. In additional some plans may offer some travel, accidental death and dismemberment, final expense or survivor benefits. You determine the plan that suits your needs.
Conversion from an employer plan may be eligible for covering pre-existing conditions. This conversion usually must be done within 60 days of leaving a recognized employer plan.
