WHAT'S NEW
New Year, New Name
Happy New Year 2012! Bonnie Whipple at Island life Benefits is the new name for my life insurance practice. I am also pleased to say that I am affiliated with Daystar Financial, who have offices across Canada to support independent life insurance brokers (just like me).
My goal is to make buying insurance easy. I know you are busy and for that reason, I'm going mobile - meeting with you at your location either during the day, evening or on weekends. I'll even buy the coffee and muffins!
What type of insurance do I sell? Life, mortgage, disability, travel, and health & dental insurance from many different insurance companies.
Need a TFA (Tax Free Savings Account), an RRSP, or RESP (Registered Education Plan for children or grandchildren)? I can help you with that too.
For business owners I sell group health & dental plans and key person insurance.
“Worry-Free, Work, Play or Travel” what's that about...that's my mantra because you work hard and play hard. Did you know:
- Travel - Want to Travel South this winter but can't get emergency medical coverage? Let me search for you, there are some plans that have little or no pre-existing insurance requirement. Just email me, and I'll get to work for you.
- Skiing – Love to ski but don't want to get hurt and lose your paycheque or business? Most people are covered by disability insurance (WCB) for 8 hours on the job, but what about after hours. You know the saying “most accidents occur in the home” or alternately at “play” such as skiing. Good news, I've got a plan that will cover you at home or on the slopes.
- You don't need to be a tax expert to know that what you get paid and what you take home are two different things. Check the boxes on these ones: You have a TFSA account (if you said huh – click here), an education savings plan for your children's future (click here), you're covered by WCB which bases your disability on your net income (check twice if you're a business owner and click here). Consult your tax accountant, WCB rep and your family, then call me.
What's with the horse logo on the website? Well I thought if someone (and you know who you are) can use a dog, I can use a horse. I work hard and play hard too – my play time is spent riding my horse – there's nothing like getting out into the great outdoors, especially the backcountry for a ride or a trip. I belong to the BC Backcountry Horsemen and Silver Spur Riding club and have even packed in the Rockies. Although I didn't have a horse when I was growing up, I can now say that I have ridden and owned horses for over 25 years. If you want to know more about my hobbies and interests see “About me” or click here.
